Question The Automatic vs Arctic Monkeys.... I reckon the Welshmen win. "Monster" and "Raoul" beat "Fake Tales..." and "Dancefloor" easily...Any opinions??!!

What about Manchester v Liverpool? No competition...

Mancs - The Fall, Mark E. Smith, The Buzzcocks, The Worst, Joy Division, The Smiths, Morrisey, Stone Roses, Oasis, Tony Wilson etc, etc, etc.
Reds - The Beatles and Ken Dodd - say no more...

I'll sit on both sides here. I think The Fall are one of the worst bands ever to get lucky with a record deal. Yes, I know why people like them, but I don't! Buzzcocks had more wit and charm and everything, to be honest. And they sounded better! Stone Roses released one album with a couple of truly awesome songs on it. But I wouldn't call it ground breaking. Happy Mondays really hit the nail on the head though, and I know their record was a bit patchy, but as far as inovation is concerned it beat the Roses over the head...And Charlatons are from Brum, which I found surprising! As for Liverpool, Zutons are a cracking band, but The La's!? And finally....Ed- I thought you liked the Beatles?
